Sent The main character in the book that I am reading, Sent, is very interesting, curious and quiet.  He is not like me at ALL because I am not very quiet and I don’t think I’m as interesting as Jonah.  Jonah is the main character in my book and he is interesting because of the way he acts and the way he talks.  Jonah is very careful of what he does and says.  For example, when he found out about his computer and phone possibly being bugged, he was extremely careful of what he said on the phone and what he googled on his computer.  Even when his sister , Katherine, wrote stuff down on a piece of paper, he wanted to make sure she ripped it apart or shredded it.

Jonah is curious because of what he does.  This ties in with the fact that he is very interesting.  He is curious because when he gets these strange letters and his friend does too, he doesn’t want to just forget about the letters.  No, he goes and investigates and he found some information he really didn’t want to know.  Then, when Katherine and Chip, his friend, go one step farther than what he wanted them to take, he lets them do all the work while he ignores them trying to tell him what they found out.  That doesn’t work for him because then, he decides,” Huh, maybe I should listen to what they say.”

Jonah is extremely quiet.  He is not the type of person who would be the first one to pop out of his shell and talk first.  He is the type of person who would have to take some time to warm up to the person he’s with.  He also is not like his sister who comes up with ideas fast  and says them as soon as possible. When Chip, Katherine and him are all huddled together around the computer in Chip’s basement, they are giving each other ideas about what they could do. He think up a lot of great stuff that they should put down, but he never says anything about what he is thinking.  That really makes me upset because I think he thinks of GREAT ideas.

This book is the second book in the Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix.  The first book is called Found and I believe you can check it out at the library or the book room.  It is a great and well-written series.  Go to this website to find out more about her books

I disagree with you on the first sentence because I barely here you talk.

I can’t wait to read Found & Sent . Haddix is such a great writer. One of the best things about her books is how you get to know the characters so well. It is obvious from your post that you really understand Jonah.

This week, I am going to get started on Found.
